As a part of Leh’s Green Hydrogen Mobility Project which was launched last year, NTPC has handed over five hydrogen fuel cell buses to the Sindhu Infrastructure Development Corporation (SIDCO) by NTPC Limited.
NTPC had opened Green Hydrogen Mobility Station in Leh last November. The latter is situated at an elevation of 11,562 feet and shares a site with a dedicated solar plant that supplies 1.7 MW of renewable power for its operational needs.
Shri Bhupesh Chowdhry, IAS, MD (SIDCO) & Secretary Transport, Shri K K Hota, GM & CEO (NUGEL), and other top NTPC and Leh Administration officials were present at the occasion when the buses were launched.
