UK-based electrolyser manufacturer ITM Power Plc has secured new engineering contracts for two international green hydrogen projects with a total combined capacity of 70 megawatts (MW). The projects are located in Australia and Canada, reports Renewables Now.
Under the first agreement, the British company will deliver a basic design engineering package (BDEP) for an industrial client working on a project in Australia. Separately, ITM Power has also been hired to perform the front-end engineering design (FEED) for a project in Canada. This Canadian facility is planned to produce hydrogen for use in the transportation sector, powered by hydroelectricity.

Both contracts will involve the deployment of multiple units of ITM’s NEPTUNE V system, which is a containerized plant designed for green hydrogen production.
Established in the year 2000 and based in Sheffield, ITM Power specializes in designing and manufacturing electrolysers that utilize proton exchange membrane (PEM) technology.
These new wins follow a major contract secured in November, where the company was selected to supply 710 MW of electrolyser capacity to the infrastructure firm Stablegrid Group for two grid stabilization projects in Germany.
