Ammonia’s role as an energy vector is accelerating today as industries look for practical ways to move and store hydrogen and adopt lower-carbon fuels, and as the cost of green ammonia starts to fall. It is an opportunity that is gaining ground in Asia, in particular.
India-based Mysore Ammonia is one of the companies taking advantage of this shift, expanding its midstream capabilities as demand grows for storage, logistics, and fuel-ready ammonia systems.
The firm is also aiming to become India’s first producer of ultra-high-purity ammonia through a series of partnerships and advancing projects. A large portion of this ambition is underpinned by the country’s National Green Hydrogen Mission, a $2.4bn government-backed initiative designed to establish India as a global hub for hydrogen and its derivatives, including ammonia.
