Entries are still open for the Hydrogen End-Use Project of the Year at the 2026 GWGI Awards, recognising projects putting hydrogen to work across transport, industry, power, refining, and other hard-to-abate sectors.
As the hydrogen sector continues to grapple with the challenges of moving projects into deployment, the award focuses on real-world applications and the projects demonstrating what hydrogen can deliver in practice.
Set to close on 9 September, the award winner will be announced at the GWGI Awards ceremony on 2 December alongside gasworld’s Global Industry Gas Conference in Budapest, Hungary.
Entries can span the development journey, from the underlying concept and business model through to project delivery and demonstrated impact. The category is open to hydrogen and hydrogen technologies across a range of end-use sectors.
The category is one of 18 awards recognising achievement and innovation across the wider industrial gas industry.

The inaugural GWGI Awards in 2025 saw Indian industrial gas company INOX Air Products win the Investing in Decarbonisation category for its 190 tonne per year green hydrogen plant in Rajasthan, supplying Asahi India Glass.
