Primary Hydrogen’s Permit Pipeline and Staking Blitz Put Shares Within Touching Distance of a Record

Investors tracking Primary Hydrogen have been handed a rare combination in junior resource exploration: a multi-year regulatory runway and a fully funded drill campaign, all while the company races to expand its footprint across three Canadian provinces.

The most consequential development concerns Wicheeda North, the company’s rare earths project in British Columbia. A Mines Act permit now covers up to 70 drill sites, trenching work and eight kilometres of access roads, effectively clearing the regulatory path through 2031. That means follow-up programs can proceed until the end of the decade without triggering fresh “Notice of Work” filings — an unusually long planning horizon for a company of this size.

Funded Drilling With No Cash Call

The 2026 work program at Wicheeda North is already fully financed and approved, eliminating the need for additional capital raises. The campaign, which involves roughly 1,500 metres of drilling, will be preceded by geochemical soil sampling and an airborne radiometric survey, with completion targeted for autumn 2026. Funding comes from a critical mineral flow-through financing announced in June and July.

That combination of secured capital and multi-year permitting certainty gives management the kind of operational visibility that is far from standard in the exploration sector.

The rare earths work sits alongside a broader expansion push that has accelerated markedly in recent weeks. Just over a week ago, the company staked the Seagull North project in northwestern Ontario’s Thunder Bay Mining District, securing 313 contiguous claims covering roughly 65 square kilometres. The ground sits directly adjacent to a joint venture between Rift Minerals and Anteros Metals that is actively drilling for natural hydrogen, helium and platinum group metals — a proximity that lends the claim block strategic weight.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying PRIMARY HYDROGEN?

Days later came the Northumberland Natural Hydrogen Project in Nova Scotia’s Cumberland Basin, where two exploration licences span 72 claims over approximately 1,166 hectares. The move gives Primary Hydrogen exposure to a second geological district known for natural hydrogen potential, spreading risk beyond a single jurisdiction.

Fresh Leadership at the Helm

The expansion strategy coincides with a management shake-up from roughly a month ago. David Jackson has taken over as CEO, with predecessor Benjamin Asuncion remaining on the board as a director. Christopher Longton has been appointed Vice President of Exploration.

The market has responded emphatically to the news flow. Shares closed Friday at EUR 1.45, up 9.8 percent on the day and just 0.7 percent below the 52-week high of EUR 1.46 set on August 28. Over the past 30 days, the stock has more than doubled, gaining 112 percent. Since the leadership changes took effect, the share price has moved 128.3 percent.

That blistering pace has pushed the Relative Strength Index to 87.5, a reading that signals deeply overbought conditions and leaves the stock vulnerable to short-term pullbacks.

Claims Are Not Yet Confirmed Finds

The recent claim staking represents a deliberate geographic diversification of the exploration portfolio, but investors should note the distinction between securing ground and proving what lies beneath it. These are registrations, not confirmed discoveries. The strategic value of the Ontario and Nova Scotia claims rests on their proximity to active hydrogen and helium exploration by other companies, which suggests the geology has already attracted outside interest.

The near-term catalyst trail leads back to Wicheeda North, where the geochemical sampling program is slated to begin in the autumn. Whether the current momentum can be sustained will likely depend on what those first concrete exploration results reveal.
