Resources Minister Shane Jones has announced a $30 million funding package to pursue hydrogen power, with half the sum going to a Christchurch company developing new technology.
New Zealand’s regulatory framework still poses a barrier to accelerating development, and Jones says now is the time to lobby for politicians like himself who will work in the next government to remove regulations.
