Power2X has acquired Dutch green hydrogen developer HyCC. The deal strengthens Power2X’s position in clean molecules and industrial decarbonization across the Netherlands and northwestern Europe.

The acquisition brings scale and efficiency to Power2X’s portfolio. HyCC’s hydrogen and clean molecule projects in locations such as Amsterdam, Delfzijl and Rotterdam will benefit from expanded capabilities and a stronger capital base. HyCC’s team adds industrial expertise to accelerate project development and delivery.

Clean molecules, including green hydrogen, are critical for a competitive, resilient industrial sector and a decarbonized energy base. Power2X said the combined portfolio could unlock significant investments in the coming years, supporting Europe’s chemical and industrial sectors.

Founder and CEO of Power2X, Occo Roelofsen, said the acquisition adds strategic projects in key industrial hubs. He highlighted increased focus on project delivery and a more diverse industrial customer base.

HyCC Managing Director Marcel Galjee said the deal allows the company to move its green hydrogen projects to the next stage with the support of a strong partner.

Power2X said the transaction positions the company to scale competitive clean molecule assets for industrial-scale delivery, reinforcing Europe’s leadership in industrial decarbonization.
