The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has announced a final extension for the submission of proposals under the Research and Development Scheme for Green Hydrogen. Under the National Green Hydrogen Mission, the ministry had issued the second Call for Proposals on 14th July 2025, inviting eligible institutions to submit their R&D proposals by 21st August 2025. Following this, several stakeholders requested more time to prepare and submit quality proposals.

After considering these requests, MNRE has extended the deadline to 15th September 2025. The ministry has made it clear that this is the final extension, and no further requests for deadline extension will be entertained. All other terms and conditions mentioned in the original Call for Proposals dated 14th July 2025 will remain unchanged. The decision to extend the deadline has been approved by the Competent Authority, giving institutions and industries additional time to contribute effectively to the Green Hydrogen Mission.
