Digitally verify the certificate of green hydrogen – TÜV NORD EnSys.
In the future, operators will be able to check whether hydrogen production meets the criteria to be classified as sustainable or green during the development of their project: TÜV NORD EnSys GmbH & Co. KG and the Munich tech start-up Atmen are now jointly offering this H2 Compliance Readiness Check (H2 CRC). The software solution is intended to give project developers an initial assessment of whether they meet the criteria of the EU’s Renewable Energy Directive (RED II) and can therefore receive appropriate certification. By simulating energy flows and CO2 intensity along the entire value chain, it is predicted whether the planned production already complies with EU regulations or what the path to an optimized supply chain could look like. An H2 compliance readiness report is generated from this. The digital tool is intended to promote trust between customers, partners, public authorities and investors at an early stage of project development.
In the cooperation between the two partners, Atmen’s technological solution is combined with the technical expertise of TÜV NORD EnSys. TÜV NORD EnSys contributed to the development of the H2 CRC methodology and also offers tailored certification schedules and detailed energy simulations. This approach aims to provide project developers with a comprehensive strategy to meet the EU criteria for their product.
