Trinasolar will supply modules for Australian hydrogen project

Trinasolar, a China-based PV and energy storage solutions provider, has secured a module supply role for an Australian project. The company will supply Vertex S+ NEG18R.28 modules for the Good Earth Green Hydrogen and Ammonia project. Its 27 MW solar farm near Moree, New South Wales, will use 510 W and 515 W modules. The modules incorporate n-type i-TOPCon technology and a heat-strengthened dual-glass design intended for long-term operation. Construction is now underway for New South Wales’ first green hydrogen and ammonia production facility. Once completed, the facility is anticipated to produce up to 200 tonnes of green hydrogen annually. It is also expected to produce up to 4,500 tonnes of low-carbon ammonia each year. Hiringa Energy designed the commercial pilot to support decentralised hydrogen and fertiliser production across regional Australia.
