Smoltek Hydrogen enables more cost-effective green hydrogen production
Smoltek’s nanofibers dramatically increase catalytic activity for ultra-low-iridium electrolysis enabling more cost-effective green hydrogen production.
Smoltek’s Porous Transport Electrode (PTE) technology increases available surface area 30-fold — while using up to 95% less iridium.
The design of Smoltek Hydrogen’s PTE for PEMWE (PEM electrolyzers) involves a unique approach where we have developed an enhanced surface area that facilitates us to deposit ultra-low levels of Iridium catalyst structures. The designed electrodes improve the iridium utilization ratio during water electrolysis, which will eventually enhance the electrolyzer performance and durability.
Chemical Engineering, a well-reputed magazine, has noticed our solution and written an article about us.
