The 5th World Power-to-X Summit started Wednesday in Marrakech, bringing together government officials, policymakers, innovators, and academic leaders to discuss the future of green hydrogen and the transition to green energy, Morocco’s Press Agency (MAP) reported.
The two-day summit is intended to foster collaboration, creativity, and the exchange of knowledge in the area of green hydrogen, while identifying ways to accelerate the global shift to clean, renewable energy.
Interactive sessions will address infrastructure needs, including ports, pipelines, storage, and logistics, to support the international hydrogen trade. Participants will also discuss strategic partnerships and the latest breakthroughs in Power-to-X solutions for sustainable energy.
The summit showcases Morocco’s green hydrogen potential, highlights flagship national projects, and reinforces the Kingdom’s role as a key global energy hub. It also launches joint initiatives, presenting innovations in hydrogen and Power-to-X technologies, and concluding agreements to advance investment and financing in the area.
The Institute for Research in Solar Energy and New Energies (IRESEN), under Morocco’s Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, co-sponsored the summit in partnership with the Moroccan Agency for Sustainable Energy (Masen), the Green H2 Cluster, and Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P).
