The French producer will deliver 90 tons of RFNBO-certified hydrogen to fuel public transport fleets over 15 months.
Lhyfe has signed a new supply agreement with a service-station operator in Germany. Under the 15-month contract, the company will provide approximately 90 tons of RFNBO-certified green hydrogen, which will be used to fuel a fleet of several dozen buses.
The deal follows the inauguration of Lhyfe’s first commercial production site in Schwäbisch Gmünd, currently the largest hydrogen facility of its kind in Germany.
“This announcement once again highlights the position Lhyfe has held for several years as a driving force in the development of a local and sustainable industry,” said Matthieu Guesné, founder and CEO of Lhyfe. “More broadly, this contract mainly confirms Germany’s strong momentum in developing green hydrogen, particularly in hydrogen mobility.”
Lhyfe has been at the forefront of Europe’s green hydrogen sector since launching the world’s first industrial-scale hydrogen plant connected to a wind farm in 2021. The company later commissioned the first offshore hydrogen production platform in 2022 and now operates multiple sites across Europe, with several more under construction or expansion.
In September 2025, Lhyfe became Europe’s largest producer of RFNBO hydrogen from water electrolysis, reinforcing its position as a key player in the continent’s energy transition and its mission to enable cleaner, more sustainable mobility.
