Jakson Green Secures Green Ammonia Supply Agreement Under India’s SIGHT Programme

Jakson Green Limited has signed a green ammonia purchase agreement (GAPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) to supply green ammonia to Coromandel International Limited in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh. The agreement falls under the Strategic Interventions for Green Hydrogen Transition (SIGHT) Programme, part of the Government of India’s National Green Hydrogen Mission (NGHM).

The contract, awarded under Mode-2A of the scheme, is estimated to have an overall value of approximately USD 465 million over its duration. The agreement follows the Letter of Award (LOA) secured by Jakson Green and its consortium from SECI in August 2025.

Part of India’s Green Hydrogen Push

The SIGHT Programme represents India’s first structured initiative to procure green hydrogen and green ammonia at scale. It aims to incentivise domestic production and improve cost competitiveness through a transparent, competitive bidding process.

Jakson Green secured its capacity through one such auction conducted by SECI, aligning with the broader policy objective of accelerating clean energy adoption and reducing dependence on fossil fuels.

Focus on Fertiliser Sector Decarbonisation

The green ammonia supplied under the agreement will be used by Coromandel International Limited, supporting the decarbonisation of the fertiliser value chain. This aligns with India’s strategy to reduce emissions in hard-to-abate industrial sectors while building a domestic ecosystem for green hydrogen derivatives.

Sharing his thoughts on the GAPA signing, Bikesh Ogra, Vice Chairman & Global CEO, Jakson Green, said, “This agreement underscores our commitment to building robust, future-ready green energy solutions at scale. We are proud to be one of the contributors in NGHM, which has been designed to accelerate India’s transition towards clean energy, strengthen energy security and build domestic capabilities across the green ammonia value chain.”

Expanding Green Hydrogen Portfolio

Beyond this agreement, Jakson Green is strengthening its presence in the green hydrogen and sustainable fuels segment. Through its associate, the company is currently developing two green hydrogen projects with a capacity of 5,000 tonnes per annum (TPA) each for Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL).

Additionally, the company is executing engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) projects in the green molecules space with an AAA-rated public sector undertaking. These projects include integrated facilities for ethanol, carbon capture and hydrogen, with capacities of 10 tonnes per day (TPD), 25 TPD and 3 TPD, respectively.

Company Overview

Jakson Green Limited, headquartered in Noida, operates as a green energy transition platform offering EPC and operations and maintenance (O&M) services for renewable energy projects across domestic and international markets. Since its inception in 2022, the company has expanded into independent power production, green molecules, desalination, and compressed biogas (CBG).
