Jakson Green Ltd, through its consortium with Ocior Energy, has signed a green ammonia purchase agreement with Solar Energy Corp. of India Ltd to supply 85,000 metric tons per annum of green ammonia.
The consortium secured the capacity in SECI’s sixth green ammonia auction at a tariff of INR 50.75/kg under the Strategic Interventions for Green Hydrogen Transition (SIGHT) Scheme (Mode-2A), which provides for assured offtake. The ammonia will be supplied to Coromandel International Ltd in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh.
The estimated contract value is around $465 million over the agreement period. The deal follows a letter of award issued by SECI in August 2025. Green ammonia supply is expected to commence in 2029.
Bikesh Ogra, Vice Chairman & Global CEO, Jakson Green said, “This agreement underscores our commitment to building robust, future‑ready green energy solutions at scale. We are proud to be one of the contributors in National Green Hydrogen Mission (NGHM) which has been designed to accelerate India’s transition towards clean energy, strengthen energy security and build domestic capabilities across the green ammonia value chain.”
Separately, Jakson Green seeks to advance its positioning in green hydrogen and sustainable fuels with a strong portfolio of projects across India. The company, through its associate, is currently developing two green hydrogen projects of 5,000 tpa each for Bharat Petroleum Corp. Ltd (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corp. Ltd (HPCL).
