Greenzo Energy India Limited and Lord’s Mark Industries Limited signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly develop green hydrogen and renewable energy projects across Uttar Pradesh. The agreement marks a major step toward building large-scale green hydrogen infrastructure in the state and accelerating industrial decarbonisation.
60 MW Green Hydrogen Capacity Across Key Cities
Under the MoU, the two companies will collaborate to develop approximately 60 MW of green hydrogen production capacity. The projects will be implemented across strategic locations, including:
*Gorakhpur
*Aligarh
*Jhansi
*Lucknow
In addition to hydrogen production, the partnership will deploy integrated solar rooftop systems coupled with battery energy storage solutions. This integrated renewable energy model aims to enhance energy reliability while reducing carbon intensity.
Defined Roles to Ensure Efficient Execution
To ensure streamlined project delivery, both companies have clearly defined responsibilities. Greenzo Energy will serve as the technology and EPC partner. It will handle engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of the projects. Lord’s Mark Industries will act as the project developer and investor, overseeing financing, regulatory approvals, commercial structuring, and overall project development. By combining Greenzo’s indigenous hydrogen technology expertise with Lord’s Mark’s project development capabilities, the partnership aims to accelerate project implementation. It also seeks to ensure long-term commercial viability.
Strengthening Uttar Pradesh’s Renewable Energy Roadmap
The collaboration builds on Lord’s Mark Industries’ earlier MoU with the Government of Uttar Pradesh, which involves an estimated investment of over ₹2,000 crore in renewable energy development. Together, these initiatives reinforce Uttar Pradesh’s ambition to emerge as a clean energy investment hub. At the same time, they align with India’s broader green hydrogen mission and national decarbonisation goals.
Leadership Perspective on the Strategic Alliance
Sandeep Agarwal, Managing Director, Greenzo Energy India Limited, stated, “This collaboration represents an important step in accelerating the deployment of green hydrogen infrastructure at scale. By combining our indigenous hydrogen technology and EPC expertise with Lord’s Mark’s strong project development capabilities, we aim to support Uttar Pradesh’s renewable energy vision and contribute meaningfully to India’s clean energy and decarbonisation objectives.”
Sachidanand Upadhyay, Managing Director, Lord’s Mark Industries Limited, added, “Our partnership with Greenzo Energy brings together strong development expertise and proven hydrogen technology capabilities. This collaboration aligns with Uttar Pradesh’s renewable energy roadmap and will help execute large-scale, sustainable green hydrogen projects delivering long-term economic and environmental benefits.”
A Five-Year Framework for Future Opportunities
The MoU remains valid for five years and establishes a structured framework for joint participation in upcoming green hydrogen and renewable energy opportunities across the state. As per the press release, the strategic alliance strengthens Greenzo Energy’s growing role in delivering scalable, indigenous, and commercially viable hydrogen solutions in India. Simultaneously, it enhances Uttar Pradesh’s position as an emerging leader in green hydrogen and clean energy investments.
