GH2 Solar, a clean energy and green hydrogen EPC company, on Wednesday said it will develop a 100 megawatt (MW) solar power project integrated with battery energy storage in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
According to the official press release, the project entails an estimated investment of ₹400 crore to ₹450 crore and will be commissioned subject to regulatory approvals.
It added that the project, being developed under the independent power producer model, will include a 100 MW/60 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS), split across two parcels of 50 MW/30 MWh each.
“The combination of solar and Battery energy storage allows us to address intermittency and provide dependable renewable power for industries transitioning towards low-carbon operations and green hydrogen,” said Anurag Jain, Founder and Managing Director, GH2 Solar.
Located in a high solar irradiation zone, the project is designed to supply round-the-clock renewable power for industrial consumption and green hydrogen production. It is expected to generate about 16 crore units of electricity annually.
