Everfuel submits proposal for large-scale green hydrogen project | Technology

Everfuel has submitted a project proposal for the phased development of a green hydrogen production plant, which could reach up to 2GW in capacity.

Located at the Revising Energy Park in Denmark, the station will be strategically located within the hydrogen backbone, with a potential direct connection to greenfield local renewable energy production from solar and wind developed by Everfuel’s partners.

Project Frigg is expected to become the company’s first large-scale production facility dedicated to hydrogen supply via pipeline to industrial customers in Germany.

H2 View understands that Everfuel will deliver up to 10,000 tonnes of green hydrogen per year from 2028 to an unnamed German customer under a Letter of Intent (LOI). Project Frigg is set to support the LOI.

The finalisation of Project Frigg is subject to successful continued development and inclusion of the project by the Vejen municipality.

Everfuel’s Founder and CEO, Jacob Krogsgaard claimed the initiative will “support local employment and create other positive ripple effects across the region, while also reducing CO2 emissions in Europe.

“Frigg is a key enabler for our commercial discussions with our LOI partner and other industrial customers in Germany. The project is also an important element in the dialogue with the Danish authorities regarding Everfuel’s indicated pipeline capacity reservations.”

Frigg will be located on the Lower T, which is anticipated to have completed the first section and be operational by 2028. Everfuel’s HySnergy project is also set to be connected to the Lower T pipeline, however it was delayed earlier this year.
