European Hydrogen Bank Third Auction Round: EUR1.09 Billion for Nine Hydrogen Projects - News and Statistics

On 7 May 2026, the European Hydrogen Bank published the results of its third auction round. According to Hydrogen Europe, the organization that published the source material, the round allocated EUR1.09 billion across nine projects, which together represent a combined electrolyser capacity of 1.1 gigawatts.

Over the first decade of operation, these projects are expected to produce 1.3 million tonnes of RFNBO and low-carbon electrolytic hydrogen, while reducing approximately 9 million tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions.
