Arctech, a global leader in solar tracking, racking, and BIPV solutions, has signed a strategic agreement with ACME Cleantech Solutions Pvt. Ltd., a leading renewable energy company in India, to supply 175 MWp of solar trackers for a groundbreaking green ammonia project in Duqm, Oman.
The project is part of a 300 metric tons per day (MTPD) green ammonia facility and is located on the southeastern coast of Oman. The region’s coastal desert environment poses significant engineering challenges, including sandy soils, wind speeds of up to 55 m/s, C5-level corrosion conditions, extreme temperatures, and some of the highest solar radiation levels in the world—averaging 5,764 kWh/m² annually. These factors also make it an ideal site for large-scale solar energy projects.
To meet these demands, Arctech will deploy its Skyline II single-axis solar tracking system. Designed for harsh conditions, the Skyline II system is well-suited for Duqm’s extreme environment and will support the solar PV infrastructure that powers one of the first large-scale green hydrogen production facilities in the region. Tracker deliveries will begin in phases starting July 2025.

This initiative aligns with Oman’s national energy strategy. The Oman Power and Water Procurement Company (OPWP) has been actively pursuing a diversified renewable energy mix, including new Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) initiatives in Duqm, with the goal of sourcing 35–39% of the country’s electricity from renewables by 2040.
The collaboration between Arctech and ACME strengthens Oman’s role as a regional clean energy leader and highlights Duqm’s emergence as a central hub for renewable energy innovation and green hydrogen development. It also reflects Arctech’s expanding global presence and its critical role in supporting industrial decarbonization through solar-hydrogen integration.
