Agfa to demonstrate large-scale ZIRFON membranes at CIHC 2026
Agfa will showcase the best in membranes for alkaline water electrolyzers as it brings its ZIRFON™ technology to China International Hydrogen Congress and Expo (CIHC) 2026.
The Agfa team will be at the China National Convention Center in Beijing from 25-27 March to demonstrate the outstanding performance, safety, and durability of ZIRFON membranes compared to other materials on the market, including PPS felt membranes.
The ZIRFON technology, now available in up to 2-metre formats to meet the needs of the Chinese and wider Asian markets, offers proven lifespans of over 10 years and reproducible performance batch-to-batch. These features make it ideal for serving large-scale electrolyzer configurations with long-lasting stability and reliability.
ZIRFON is manufactured at Agfa’s Mortsel production facility, which opened in 2025 with the capacity to support up to GW of electrolysis capacity per year.
Agfa’s representatives will be available at Booth No. A036-1 to discuss the transformative impact that ZIRFON has on alkaline electrolyzer performance and the overall green hydrogen production system.
