Everfuel A/S has signed a grant agreement with the German government under the European Hydrogen Bank’s Auctions-as-a-Service scheme. Under the agreement, the company will receive production support of EUR 0.98 per kg of renewable fuel of non-biological origin (RFNBO) hydrogen produced, amounting to a total of €245 million.
Additionally, Everfuel has reserved capacity in both the Danish and German hydrogen pipeline networks equivalent to 400 MW of electrolyser capacity to support the initial phases of its Project Frigg. Project Frigg is a planned large-scale green hydrogen production facility at Revsing Energy Park in Vejen, Denmark. The project aims to supply RFNBO hydrogen to industries in Germany and is designed to scale up to 2 GW of electrolyser capacity.
In May 2026, MorGen Energy secured a conditional grant of up to €422.75 million under the European Hydrogen Bank auction funded by the EU Innovation Fund. The grant supports the future operations of the Njordkraft green hydrogen project which is located in Esbjerg, Denmark. The project is expected to produce around 45,500 tonnes of renewable hydrogen annually for sectors including steel, refining and energy-intensive manufacturing.
