India and South Korea are exploring wider cooperation in environmental protection and the energy transition, including civil nuclear energy, green hydrogen and renewable power, the Indian Embassy in Seoul said on Thursday, The Hindu BusinessLine reported.
India’s Ambassador to South Korea, Gourangalal Das, discussed potential areas of collaboration with Kim Jung-ho, Chairman of the Environment, Climate, Energy and Labour Committee of South Korea’s National Assembly.

The meeting forms part of a series of engagements by the Indian envoy with South Korean lawmakers to strengthen bilateral ties.
On September 15, Das met members of the South Korea-India Parliamentary Friendship Group, including its chairperson Yun Ho-jung, to discuss ways to expand parliamentary cooperation and strengthen cultural and people-to-people relations.
Earlier, on September 3, the ambassador held discussions with Kim Seong-won, chairperson of the National Assembly’s Trade, Industry, Energy, SMEs and Startups Committee. The talks covered economic and commercial ties, supply chain cooperation, clean energy adoption and opportunities to promote small businesses and startups in both countries.
