The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) has announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with TKIL Industries to collaborate on research, implementation and policy advocacy in sustainability, corporate social responsibility (CSR) and advanced green technologies.

The MoU was signed by Dr Vibha Dhawan, Director General, TERI, and Vivek Bhatia, Managing Director, TKIL Industries, at TERI’s India Habitat Centre office in New Delhi.

During the meeting, the two organisations discussed opportunities and challenges in scaling up green hydrogen in India. The discussions focused on developing the hydrogen ecosystem through pilot projects, infrastructure development, market creation and collaborative research. They also highlighted the need for innovation, cost competitiveness and assessment of different hydrogen pathways to support India’s energy transition.

Rashmi Murali, Fellow, TERI, presented an overview of the ongoing CSR project and the proposed collaboration framework between the organisations. The partnership will explore joint initiatives in clean energy, sustainable agriculture, green technologies, policy engagement and community-led sustainability programmes.
