MP gets Rs 53,200cr proposals for solar, green hydrogen and AI projects in Dubai

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh received investment proposals worth around Rs 53,200 crore for solar power, green hydrogen, artificial intelligence infrastructure, critical-mineral recycling and advanced manufacturing during chief minister Mohan Yadav’s meetings with investors in Dubai on Tuesday, the state govt said.Nearly the entire proposed investment came from two groups. Rana Holdings outlined projects estimated at Rs 35,200 crore, and NIDI Services DMCC/SCNELL presented a concept for an AI computing campus involving around Rs 18,000 crore. The govt did not announce project locations, implementation timelines or binding investment agreements.“We have removed more than 2,700 rules and around 900 laws to make industry and business simpler. Investors will also be granted necessary exemptions within the policy framework wherever required,” Yadav said at the ‘Interactive Session on Invest in Madhya Pradesh’.Rana Holdings chairman and managing director Darshan Singh Rana discussed a 2,000MW solar energy portfolio, a 200MW green hydrogen plant and a 50MW AI and computing data centre, expandable to 200MW.The company also expressed interest in setting up a critical-minerals recovery and recycling complex with an annual capacity of 30,000 tonnes and an integrated smart-manufacturing hub covering e-mobility and electronics manufacturing.NIDI Services DMCC/SCNELL presented a concept for a 50MW industrial-scale computing campus and “Sovereign AI Factory”. The proposed investment of $1.5 billion to $2 billion, estimated by the govt at around Rs 18,000 crore, could be expanded to more than 100MW.Yadav also met GEMS Education chairman Sunny Varkey to discuss K-12 schools, teacher training, edtech and future-ready education campuses. Talks with PureHealth covered multispecialty hospitals, digital health, telemedicine and medical and nursing education.In a meeting with Emaar Properties founder and managing director Mohamed Alabbar, Yadav invited the company to explore mixed-use urban projects, townships and hospitality investments, including along the Indore-Pithampur-Ujjain development corridor.Separately, Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation was named “Winner Asia” at the AIM Investment Awards 2026 for investment promotion. Yadav invited participating companies to the Global Investors Summit to be held in Bhopal in January 2027.Yadav concluded his three-day Dubai visit on Tuesday after a series of meetings aimed at attracting investment in energy, digital infrastructure, manufacturing, education and urban development.
