Paradip Port Authority has opened a tender for project management services covering the development of a 1 MW electrolyser-based green hydrogen plant and the procurement of eight hydrogen fuel-cell buses.
The Indian port authority has set a tender value of INR21.8m ($250,000) for the consultancy package, which will oversee the hydrogen project and associated vehicle procurement.
The contract has a 150-day work period, with bids due by September 2 and opening scheduled for the following day.
The latest procurement moves Paradip’s hydrogen plans further into the delivery phase, with the port looking to establish its own electrolyser capacity alongside a fleet of fuel-cell electric vehicles.
India has been positioning its major ports as hubs for the production, storage and handling of green fuels, with Paradip among the ports pursuing hydrogen infrastructure as part of the programme.
