Advait Energy Transitions Ltd (AETL) and Manipal Energy & Infratech Ltd (MEIL) have signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MoU) to jointly pursue opportunities across the power and energy transition sectors in India and international markets.

Under the agreement, the two companies will collaborate on projects spanning power transmission and distribution, renewable energy, battery energy storage systems (BESS), green hydrogen, electrolysers, High-Temperature Low-Sag (HTLS) conductors, Optical Ground Wire (OPGW), Emergency Restoration Systems (ERS) and engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) solutions.

Complementary capabilities

According to the companies, the partnership combines Advait Energy Transitions’ expertise in energy technologies and manufacturing with MEIL’s EPC execution and project management capabilities to pursue larger and more integrated infrastructure projects.

As part of the collaboration, Advait will support MEIL in identifying and executing opportunities in emerging sectors such as BESS, green hydrogen, electrolysers, fuel cells and solar EPC. In turn, MEIL will assist Advait in strengthening its technical qualifications and execution capabilities across underground cabling, substations, and transmission and distribution infrastructure. The companies will jointly evaluate project opportunities and define the scope of work for each assignment.

Focus on energy transition

The companies said the agreement is aimed at strengthening their ability to participate in larger domestic and international opportunities across power transmission, renewable energy, energy storage and other emerging energy transition sectors, while enhancing execution capabilities and market reach.

“India’s power and energy sectors are evolving rapidly, creating opportunities that increasingly require multidisciplinary expertise and strong execution capabilities. This collaboration brings together complementary strengths that will enable both organisations to pursue larger and more integrated opportunities across power infrastructure and clean energy,” said Shalin Sheth, Founder and Managing Director, Advait Energy Transitions Ltd.
