UAE Showcases National Hydrogen Strategy And Clean Energy Vision At Global Hydrogen Summit

The United Arab Emirates (UAE), through its Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, participated in the World Hydrogen Summit and Exhibition held in Rotterdam, reinforcing its commitment to clean energy development and global sustainability goals. The summit served as a major international platform where policymakers, industry leaders, and technical experts gathered to discuss the future of hydrogen and low-emission energy systems.

During the event, participants explored ways to expand international hydrogen markets, strengthen sustainable energy networks, and encourage global cooperation to accelerate the transition toward cleaner energy sources. The UAE delegation also took part in the International Hydrogen Trade Forum, which focused on improving international hydrogen supply chains and supporting the growth of global hydrogen trade.

According to the ministry, the UAE’s participation supports the country’s National Hydrogen Strategy, which aims to establish a complete hydrogen ecosystem covering production, transportation, storage, and utilization. The strategy is designed to improve long-term energy security while helping the country achieve its climate neutrality targets.

The ministry emphasized that strong cooperation between governments, private companies, financial institutions, and technology providers is essential for building a sustainable and resilient global hydrogen economy. UAE representatives also highlighted the importance of creating unified hydrogen regulations at local, regional, and international levels. They stated that harmonized standards would simplify cross-border trade and support the growth of global hydrogen value chains.

In addition to hydrogen development, the UAE showcased its broader decarbonization efforts across different industrial sectors. The ministry highlighted initiatives related to sustainable aviation fuels, technological innovation, and strategic international partnerships. Officials noted that the UAE continues to focus on diversification and innovation within its energy sector to strengthen its position in emerging clean energy markets while supporting sustainable economic growth and the development of a green economy.
