UMOE Advanced Composites Lands New MEGC Order from P2X Solutions for Finland Hydrogen Project - News and Statistics

UMOE Advanced Composites has secured a follow-up order from its existing client P2X Solutions, according to a report published on Hydrogen Central. The agreement covers three 45-foot high cube Multi-Element Gas Containers intended for a Power-to-X hydrogen project located in Finland.

This latest order follows a previous delivery made by UMOE Advanced Composites in 2025, which included 12 MEGCs for hydrogen and two MEGCs for e-methane storage and transport. All of the containers supplied by the company are used to move hydrogen from Finland’s first industrial-scale green hydrogen production site in Harjavalta to industrial end-users. The Harjavalta plant commenced green hydrogen output last year, representing a key step for Finland’s hydrogen economy and the broader European hydrogen market.

Lars Erik Lunoe, the chief executive of UMOE Advanced Composites, stated that his firm is pleased to continue its collaboration with P2X Solutions and to provide infrastructure that aids hydrogen deployment in Finland. He added that the company’s MEGCs balance performance, durability, and cost-effectiveness, assisting customers in lowering emissions and improving project economics.

P2X Solutions, described as a Finnish pioneer in green hydrogen and Power-to-X technology, aims to construct multiple production plants for green hydrogen and synthetic fuels such as e-methane, e-methanol, and e-ammonia. The company is targeting a total of one gigawatt of hydrogen production capacity over the coming decade. Reliable and scalable hydrogen storage solutions are considered a critical enabler for these planned developments.
