Chinese hydrogen equipment manufacturer SLG has delivered 16 units of green power-powered intelligent hydrogen production systems for a major green ammonia project being developed by ACME Group in Oman. The delivery marks the company’s first overseas renewable-powered green hydrogen project and signals the start of its clean energy project deliveries for the year.
The hydrogen production systems will support ACME Group’s 300 tonnes-per-day (TPD) green ammonia project, which is expected to produce around 100,000 tonnes of green ammonia annually. The project is positioned as a key hydrogen-ammonia integration initiative in the Middle East and is expected to contribute to the region’s broader energy transition.
SLG noted that the delivery demonstrates its capabilities in system integration and large-scale equipment deployment in the rapidly expanding global green hydrogen sector. The company also highlighted that it was the first Chinese electrolyser supplier to sign an agreement with ACME Group for the project.
ACME Group, a renewable energy solutions provider with a growing presence across Asia and international markets, selected SLG as a core equipment supplier for the development. According to the company, the partnership reflects confidence in SLG’s technological expertise and manufacturing capabilities in hydrogen production systems.
The project is expected to serve as a benchmark application for renewable hydrogen-based ammonia production and forms part of broader efforts to scale green hydrogen infrastructure in the Middle East.
