All the projects — ranging in size from 50MW to 600MW — will be part of new highly polluting industrial complexes

The groundbreaking ceremony for China Energy Group’s $24.5bn Hami Integrated Innovative Energy Base Project in Xinjiang on 8 October 2024. This giant chemicals complex will source about 2.33% of its hydrogen from renewables.
