ACWA Power has unveiled a new brand identity reflecting its transformation into a global infrastructure platform focused on advancing sustainable development and energy transition initiatives worldwide.
The rebranding marks a key milestone in the company’s evolution from a regional Saudi Arabian developer into a global player with approximately USD 115 billion in assets under management. ACWA Power currently operates 111 assets across 15 countries, delivering electricity to more than 75 million people and providing clean water to around 34 million people daily.
According to the company, the refreshed brand is anchored in the “energy quadrilemma” of affordability, sustainability, security, and speed. The identity highlights ACWA Power’s long-term strategy of impact-led innovation, partnership-driven development, and community-focused infrastructure delivery. The rebrand also aligns with the company’s ambition to double its assets under management to USD 250 billion by 2030, supported by investments in renewable energy, green hydrogen, and desalination projects, in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and partner countries’ net-zero targets.
Mohammad Abunayyan, Chairman of ACWA Power, said the new identity reflects both the company’s heritage and its future direction as it expands its footprint across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. He noted that the company measures success not only in operational metrics but also in social and economic impact within host communities.
Marco Arcelli, Chief Executive Officer of ACWA Power, highlighted the company’s expanding operational scale, noting that ACWA Power currently delivers 93 GW of power capacity and 9.3 million cubic meters of desalinated water per day across multiple regions. He added that the company’s green ammonia portfolio is ramping up to exceed 1.2 million metric tonnes annually, reinforcing its role in emerging clean fuel markets.
Rusha Alrawaf, Chief Corporate Affairs and Sustainability Officer, said the rebrand was developed through extensive stakeholder engagement and is built around ACWA Power’s core values of Integrity, Ingenuity, and Impact. She emphasized that the new identity reinforces the company’s focus on improving lives, protecting the environment, and supporting long-term community resilience.
The new brand positioning integrates ACWA Power’s commercial strategy with its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) commitments. The company said its values will guide partnerships with governments, regulators, investors, and communities across projects spanning green hydrogen in Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan, wind power in Azerbaijan and Egypt, renewable and storage projects in South Africa and Morocco, and desalination facilities across the GCC.
ACWA Power stated that innovation and sustainability remain central to its project development approach, citing record-scale solar parks, large green hydrogen projects, and next-generation desalination technologies designed to reduce emissions and costs. The company also highlighted its workforce and community development initiatives, including training programs such as the Energy and Water Academy in Saudi Arabia and similar institutions in international markets.
The rebranding further underscores ACWA Power’s “Develop, Invest, Operate, Optimize” business model, under which the company mobilizes significant third-party investment alongside its own capital. As ACWA Power targets a 50% reduction in greenhouse gas intensity by 2030 compared to 2020 levels, the new identity is expected to serve as a unified platform for stakeholders across all its operating markets.
