Concord Control Systems Limited said its wholly owned subsidiary, Advanced Rail Controls Private Limited, has received a contract worth about ₹47 crore from NTPC Limited for a green hydrogen fuel cell hybrid locomotive.
The order covers the supply of all plant and equipment for a 3,100 horsepower green hydrogen fuel cell locomotive that will be retrofitted for operations at NTPC’s Sipat facility in Chhattisgarh. The project is scheduled to be completed within 18 months, according to the company’s regulatory filing.
Shares of Concord Control Systems settled at ₹2,475, up ₹15, or 0.61 per cent, on Friday.
The company said the contract has been awarded by a domestic entity and involves the supply of equipment only. No additional financial or technical details were disclosed beyond the overall contract value.
Other recent orders
In a separate disclosure, Concord Control Systems said it had secured a ₹56.58 crore order from Indian Railways in December 2025 for the supply, installation and commissioning of locomotive wireless control systems.
That contract was also awarded through Advanced Rail Controls Private Limited and covers safety systems used for communication and control in locomotive operations. Following this order, the company’s order book stood at over ₹450 crore, according to the filing.
