Fawley Green Hydrogen consultation launch
New Forest District Council notes the launch of a public consultation by Hynamics, part of the EDF Group, on proposals for the Fawley Green Hydrogen (FGH) project.
The consultation seeks views from the local community ahead of planning applications expected in early 2026.
The proposed facility would be located at Fawley Waterside on the site of the former oil-fired power station.
We expect a planning application for this proposal in 2026. We have not formed a view on the proposals and will consider any application in line with statutory planning processes, relevant policies, and consultation feedback.
Members of the public can review the consultation materials and provide feedback directly to the Hynamics project team.

Hynamics are running a drop-in event on Wednesday 10 December 2025 from 3:30pm to 7:30pm at Fawley Village in Jubilee Hall.
