Air Products and Chemicals (NYSE:APD) said Monday it received funding to build two high capacity hydrogen refueling stations in Germany, which will be capable of fueling a range of vehicles, in Duisburg and Meckenheim in Germany.
The German state of North Rhine-Westphalia, the funder of the project, plans to build 200 hydrogen fueling stations by 2030 and decarbonize heavy-duty transportation in the state.
Supplied with Air Products’ (APD) own hydrogen, the refueling stations will offer a network of reliable and fast HRSs for trucks in Germany and ultimately support the ramping up of zero-emission fleets, the company said.
Air Products (APD) said the funding marks another milestone as it continues to build a European network of hydrogen refueling stations that will provide heavy duty and long-range vehicles with low-carbon energy for zero-emission fleets.
